Illinois State University’s Department of Event Management, Dining, and Hospitality is seeking a Student Help-Event Planner to assist with scheduling events for Registered Student Organizations using Caterease, serve as office receptionist, and help with room layouts and day-of-event coordination.

This on-campus, part-time role pays $15.25 per hour and requires enrollment as a part-time or full-time student in good standing, with 5–10 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled as a part-time or full-time student with GPA of at least 2.0
• Priority given to multi-semester availability

Responsibilities

• Assist in scheduling events for Registered Student Organizations using Caterease
• Act as office receptionist
• Assist RSOs in planning events including room layouts and day-of-event schedules
• Provide room diagrams for clients and operations staff
• Assist with approvals and reminders for event details
• Handle web requests and perform general clerical duties
