Job summary

Illinois State University is seeking an Extra Help Food Service worker to assist daily food production and service operations across EMDH venues. Responsibilities include food prep, sanitation, customer service, and cash handling.

You may be assigned to any of our retail venues such as The Landing, Starbucks, McAlister's Deli, Qdoba, or Timbers, as well as Residential Dining Centers. Hours are variable with a cap of 28 hours per week; start date in 2026.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts and days, up to 28 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily food production and service operations in EMDH venues.
• May include food preparation and production, sanitation, and customer service.
• Handle cash transactions as part of service duties.
• Support other operational tasks as assigned.
