Job summary

The ideal candidate is an enrolled Auburn University student with a portfolio showcasing photography work and strong customer service orientation. Availability during standard hours plus events is preferred.

Qualifications

• Enrolled student at Auburn University.
• Experience with digital DSLR or mirrorless cameras.
• Proficiency with Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, or similar editing software.
• Applicants must provide a link to an online portfolio or samples of their photography work.
• Ability to interact professionally and effectively with support staff, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer service orientation.
• Ability to adapt and perform effectively in unfamiliar situations.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple assignments.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud software is preferred.
• Preference may be given to applicants who have completed photography-related coursework.

Responsibilities

• Produce professional photographs for use by the university and provide photographic support to departments requesting services.
• Download, organize, and catalog images using appropriate keywords and captions.
• Upload images to the university's image library within a few hours of an assignment or event.
• Maintain accurate and well-organized digital photo archives.
• Be available during regular business hours and, as needed, evenings and weekends for photography appointments and events.
