Job summary

Liberty University’s Marketing Department seeks a Student Photographer to document campus life, events, and promotional shoots. You’ll work with the photo team, handle lighting, post-production, and build a library of high-quality imagery; portfolio submission is required.

The role requires familiarity with the full photo production process, experience with Camera Raw, Photo Mechanic, and Photoshop, and availability for nights and weekends across campus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One to Three years of related experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A portfolio of recent relevant work must be submitted to be interviewed for the position.
• The Student Photographer is proficient in using an Apple computer platform.
• This position also requires experience with Adobe Camera Raw and Camera Bits Photo Mechanic.
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research: stays knowledgeable of existing and emerging photography technologies and benchmarks.
• Pre-Production: brainstorms concepts with the University brand initiatives; attends weekly meetings.
• Conducts event-based photography, operates lighting, and performs basic equipment maintenance.
• Post-Production: culls, renames, keywords, and processes files in Camera Raw and Photoshop.
• Archive: uploads and organizes finished files to Liberty University’s PhotoShelter.
• Assist on larger promotional shoots across campus.
