Job summary

Liberty University’s Marketing Department seeks a Student Photographer to capture campus events and assist the photo team in creating high-quality visual content that promotes the university’s mission.

The role requires familiarity with the full photo production workflow, strong Adobe tools experience, and the ability to work nights and weekends for event coverage. A portfolio is required for interview consideration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of related photography experience; portfolio submitted to be interviewed.
• Proficient with Apple computer platforms; experience with Adobe Camera Raw and Photo Mechanic; Photoshop preferred.
• Ability to work nights and weekends for event coverage.
• Strong understanding of the photo production process.

Responsibilities

• Research existing and emerging photography technologies and benchmarks.
• Pre-production: brainstorm concepts and attend weekly team meetings.
• Conduct event-based photography, interact with clients, operate lighting, and perform troubleshooting.
• Post-production: culling, renaming, and keywording RAW files in Photo Mechanic; processing in Camera Raw and Photoshop; exporting and backing up.
• Archive: upload and organize files to Liberty University’s PhotoShelter.
