Job summary

Auburn University is seeking a Student Photographer to capture campus events and everyday life. The role requires familiarity with DSLR or mirrorless cameras and basic Adobe Creative Cloud editing.

The ideal candidate is an enrolled Auburn University student with a portfolio showcasing photography work and strong customer service orientation. Availability during standard hours plus events is preferred.

Qualifications

• Enrolled student at Auburn University.
• Experience with digital DSLR or mirrorless cameras.
• Proficiency with Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, or similar editing software.
• Applicants must provide a link to an online portfolio or samples of their photography work.
• Ability to interact professionally and effectively with support staff, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer service orientation.
• Ability to adapt and perform effectively in unfamiliar situations.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple assignments.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud software is preferred.
• Preference may be given to applicants who have completed photography-related coursework.

Overview

The Office of Communications and Marketing at Auburn University is excited to begin the search for a Student Photographer. The ideal candidate must be an experienced student photographer with an interest in event and campus life photography to assist with the daily photographic responsibilities of the department. The ideal student will know how to use the camera’s manual settings and have a basic knowledge of the Adobe Suite for photo editing.

Some experience with flash/lighting is preferred.
