Job summary

Montana State University in Bozeman is seeking an Event Technician to provide technical assistance for athletic events, concerts, and other campus productions on a 30-hour week, event-driven schedule. The role oversees and troubleshoots A/V equipment, lighting, scoreboards, and related gear, coordinates with vendors, and supports load-ins and rehearsals on site.

This is a classified hourly, .75 FTE, non-sponsorship eligible position with a non-exempt status; salary ranges from $21.50 to $25.00

Qualifications

• Experience in providing technical support for events on campus.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues during live events.
• Ability to train end-users on equipment and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and assists in management of equipment and activities related to events and meetings.
• Maintains inventory control and coordinates repairs with vendors.
• Advances production for concerts/events including load-ins and rehearsals when needed.
