Job summary

Utah State University is seeking a part-time A/V Tech to support audio and lighting needs during events at USU Eastern in Price. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals with basic theater tech, live sound, or lighting experience, and evening or weekend hours may be required.

You will assist with running lights or sound boards, help customers, follow supervision, perform basic equipment checks, and help maintain gear. This role is non-benefited, hourly, with a start at $13.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Some experience with theater tech (e.g., high school productions, community theater, A/V club) is preferred.
• Able to learn new equipment and follow technical direction.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist with running lights or sound boards during rehearsals, performances, or special events
• Assist customers with Audio Visual needs
• Follow directions from the Geary Supervisor and work collaboratively with other event staff
• Perform basic equipment checks
• Help maintain and organize equipment
