Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental health or related field and 4 years of EHS experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA/HIOSH and state health regulations.
• Ability to lead, train, and document compliance programs.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate campus EHS programs and serve as on-site expert.
• Develop and maintain a campus-safe Environmental Health and Safety program.
• Inspect facilities to identify hazards and ensure controls.
• Manage hazardous materials storage, use and disposal procedures.
• Develop emergency response plans for chemical spills and disasters.
• Deliver mandatory EHS training for faculty, staff, and students.
• Investigate incidents with HR, prepare reports for leadership and regulators.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIOSH, and Hawaii DOH regulations.
• Oversee fire safety systems and ensure proper maintenance.
