Job summary

WESTECH INTERNATIONAL, INC. is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Administrator in Hawaii to oversee the contract's environmental compliance and safety programs under the SHE Manager.

You will coordinate with regulatory agencies, manage HM/HW programs, and support emergency preparedness while ensuring OSHA, EPA, and DOH standards are met across maintenance, logistics, transportation, and facilities.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and Hawaii environmental regulations.
• Experience managing hazardous materials and waste programs across operations.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with regulators.

Responsibilities

• Administers contract-wide environmental compliance program with EPA, OSHA, and Hawaii DOH in mind.
• Develops and enforces policies for hazardous materials and hazardous waste management.
• Directs Hazardous Waste Shop Storage Points (HWSSPs) and Recyclable Material Shop Storage Points (RMSSPs) inspections to maintain standards.
• Conducts regular inspections of waste accumulation areas and maintains compliance records.
• Acts as liaison with DPW Environmental Division and external regulators during follow-ups and inspections.
• Coordinates spill response training and documentation for proper containment and reporting.
• Assists SHE Manager to ensure OSHA standards and Army safety regulations are met.
• Performs risk assessments and safety audits across logistics functions as needed.
• Develops and enforces safety policies to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Supports emergency preparedness and response programs for environmental or hazardous incidents.
• Manages HM/HW training programs for personnel handling hazardous materials and waste.
• Oversees proper disposal of hazardous waste and regulatory reporting.
• Tracks inventory, reconciles reports, and drives corrective actions for discrepancies.
• Monitors facility conditions across contract operations to ensure safety and compliance.
• Leads energy conservation efforts as Building Energy Monitor and reports issues.
• Notifies DPW Environmental Division of non-functional treatment facilities and follows up on corrections.
• Serves as contract liaison for safety, environmental, and security audits.
