Job summary

Harvard University is seeking an EHS professional to provide technical and operational support for Environmental Health and Safety programs. The role includes serving as a liaison for schools/departments, conducting inspections, and developing safety plans, trainings, and documentation.

You will build strong customer relationships, maintain program materials, and collaborate on university-wide EHS initiatives and emergency management.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in occupational safety, environmental science or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of safety/EHS-related experience in industrial/institutional safety.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state and local regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and training delivery.
• Progress toward professional certification (CSP/CHMM/CIH/PE) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as EHS liaison for schools/departments and provide technical support.
• Develop and implement school/department Safety and Compliance Management Plans.
• Conduct periodic EHS inspections and investigations; develop corrective actions.
• Develop training programs, documents, and data/trend analyses.
• Participate in EHS projects, emergency management, and cross-department collaboration.
