Job summary

Harvard University’s Central Administration (CADM) seeks an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Liaison to provide technical and operational support for the university’s EHS programs. You will serve as a primary EHS service contact for schools and departments, develop and maintain Safety and Compliance Management Plans, and lead training and documentation efforts.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in occupational safety, environmental science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of safety/EHS-related experience in industrial/institutional safety.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state and local EHS regulations.
• Experience implementing safety/compliance programs and process improvements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to train and present to groups.

Responsibilities

• Serve as EHS liaison for schools/departments and support local EHS program maintenance.
• Develop and implement school/department Safety and Compliance Management Plans with calendars.
• Oversee one or more EHS programs, including regulatory tracking and policy materials.
• Conduct inspections, investigations, and cause analyses; propose corrective actions.
• Develop training materials and deliver trainings; create and maintain documentation.
• Participate in EHS projects, emergency management, and data collection/analysis.
• Support safety culture initiatives and coordinate with facilities teams.
