Colorado State University’s Residential Dining Services seeks a Food Service Worker to prepare and serve meals in a high-volume dining environment, upholding quality, safety, and exceptional customer service. The role supports daily production, sanitation, and service operations while ensuring compliance with food codes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in a customer service capacity in food service, retail, hospitality, or related industry.
• Preferred six months+ experience in a high-volume foodservice operation.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and verbal communication skills necessary for building and maintaining successful work relationships.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food in accordance with established quality, safety, and portioning standards.
• Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment according to food codes and department sanitation practices.
• Operate and maintain food service equipment safely and effectively.
• Monitor food temperatures, restock supplies, and ensure uninterrupted service flow.
• Complete opening and closing procedures and participate in inventory-related tasks.
• Indirectly supervise and guide student and hourly staff in food production and service.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across all assigned work areas.
• Other duties as needed.
