Job summary

Colorado State University in Fort Collins is seeking a Dining Custodian to join the Residential Dining Services team. You will conduct cleaning duties in kitchen and service facilities while delivering exemplary customer service to students, staff, and the university community.

The role supports safe, clean environments and may require extended or swing shifts. Pre-employment background check is required. No formal supervision.

Qualifications

• Six months of custodial or laundry experience related to the job duties.
• Preferred: one year or more custodial experience.
• Preferred: six months or more experience in a foodservice or retail operation.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitizing foodservice equipment, preparation tables, walls, sinks, drains, vents, trash and compost receptacles, ceilings, floors, mirrors, vanities, toilets, windows, appliances, and furnishings.
• Maintain clean and safe foodservice kitchen environments using green practices and energy conservation.
• Clean exterior areas including dock, pick up trash, sweep, wash, and snow/ice removal.
• Perform minor maintenance such as replacing lightbulbs and minor painting.
• Attend CSU, HDS, and department training sessions.
