Job summary

Rochester Institute of Technology’s dining program seeks a Dining Shift Lead to oversee daily operations at Beanz and related locations, ensuring high-quality food and service while working with student staff and fellow supervisors.

You will hire, train, schedule, and supervise student workers, uphold sanitation and safety standards, and foster a welcoming, campus dining experience for the university community.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food service production and service techniques.
• Knowledge of food sanitation and safety standards.
• Strong time management and multi-tasking in high volume environments.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to obtain food safety/sanitation certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Washes and prepares various foods for cooking or serving.
• Follows quality control, portioning, and customer service standards.
• Provides excellent service in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Cleans dishware and maintains sanitation standards.
• Receives and stores supplies; maintains organization and safety.
• Other duties as assigned.
