Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services seeks a Director of Operations overseeing Campus Dining at the University of Chicago. The role leads multi‑unit operations, ensures contract and budget adherence, and enhances client satisfaction across campus dining accounts.

The position requires steering policy implementation, evaluating performance, and developing management teams to meet high standards and adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience in multi‑unit foodservice management.
• Experience with multi‑unit foodservice management.
• Strong track record of driving customer satisfaction.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop team members.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and on diverse teams.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develops, recommends, and implements policies and procedures of the account.
• Monitors financial reports to ensure budgetary compliance.
• Inspects unit operations to ensure contract compliance.
• Interfaces with existing clients to maintain client satisfaction and account retention.
• Conducts annual and semi‑annual performance evaluations.
• Completes all daily, weekly, and monthly reports as outlined in policy.
• Trains, motivates, and develops management personnel.
