Job summary

CulinArt Group, a Compass Group USA company, is seeking an Executive Chef to lead a vibrant boarding school dining program. This hands-on leadership role oversees culinary operations seven days a week, delivering fresh, high-quality meals in a single dining venue.

You will develop menus, ensure food safety and quality, manage budgets and inventory, train staff, and create an exceptional dining experience that reflects diverse tastes and dietary needs across the campus community.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience.
• Hands-on chef experience.
• Knowledge of food cost controls and presentation.
• Computer literacy: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• ServSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans regular and modified menus according to established guidelines.
• Follows standardized recipes, portioning and presentation standards.
• Trains kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, operation of equipment, food safety and sanitation.
• Establishes and maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage and work areas.
• Maintains inventory of food and non-food supplies within guidelines.
• Decides on utilization of leftover food within guidelines.
• Complies with health and sanitation regulations and audits.
• Follows safety policies and attends departmental meetings.
