Colorado State University is seeking a Custodian I in the Facilities Management division to provide cleaning, sanitizing, and basic floor care across campus facilities. The role includes AM or PM shifts with potential weekend coverage and a pre-employment background check.
Six months of custodial experience is required; preferred candidates will operate standard custodial tools and equipment and contribute to a safe, sanitary campus environment with strong customer service.
Facilities Management is entrusted with the development, care, maintenance, and operation of Colorado State University’s physical properties. Under the direction and supervision of a Custodian II and / or Custodian III, the Custodian I provides a range of custodial services to building occupants including but not limited to cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, removal of trash and recyclable materials, window and entry glass cleaning, carpeted and hardfloor maintenance including vacuuming, spot cleaning and extracting of carpeted floors and vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, burnishing, stripping and refinishing of hard surface floors. This custodial pool will be recruiting positions to work either the AM or PM shift. The AM shift works 5:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The PM shift works 4:00 pm - 12:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. Additionally, there are some PM shifts available that require candidates to pass a Federal Background Check.
Salary: $40,248 - $44,376 annually, + Full Benefits.
To be considered for this position, candidates must demonstrate in the application materials: Six months of custodial services experience in an institutional or commercial environment.
