Job summary

Williams College is accepting applications for full-time Custodian positions in the Facilities Department on campus in Williamstown, MA. The role offers comprehensive benefits, a 40-hour work week, and a stable, year-round schedule (Monday–Friday 5:30 am–2:00 pm).

Overtime and holiday shift differentials may apply. Responsibilities include cleaning, light maintenance, snow shoveling, and conference season bed making, with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Experience in general cleaning, maintenance, carpet and floor care.
• Basic knowledge of computers.
• Ability to comply with operating manuals, safety data sheets, safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and sanitizing dispensing units.
• Must have the ability to work flexible hours including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds independently and up to 75 pounds with assistance.
