Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Conference and Events Coordinator to provide comprehensive coordination for Longhorn Hospitality's conference, event, guest housing, and summer programs on the UT Main Campus. You will be the primary client contact for CES, manage event logistics, housing operations, and track bookings from inquiry to post-event follow-up.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least 3 years of event planning experience; preferred candidates have strong

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma and/or GED.
  • 3 years of event planning experience.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary contact for conference, event, and guest housing clients from inquiry through program completion.
  • Coordinate reservations, planning meetings, site visits, and logistics with campus partners.
  • Oversee housing operations, occupancy management, and facility readiness.
  • Assist with budget tracking, billing reconciliation, and financial reporting.
  • Supervise student workers and train Longhorn Hospitality staff.
  • Support marketing initiatives and identify new business opportunities.
