Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Conference and Events Coordinator within Longhorn Hospitality to manage conference, event, guest housing, and summer programs. You will serve as primary client contact, oversee logistics, housing operations, billing, and financial reconciliation while collaborating across campus to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of event planning experience, strong communication, organizational, and financial skills,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3 years of event planning experience preferred.
• Experience coordinating multiple projects with attention to detail.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary contact for conference, event, and guest suite clients from inquiry through program completion.
• Coordinate reservations, planning meetings, site visits, and event logistics with campus partners.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and maintain accurate event records; collect post-event assessments.
• Coordinate housing operations, including check-in/check-out and occupancy management.
• Assist with budgeting, billing reconciliation, and financial reporting for conference and housing operations.
• Supervise student staff and develop training materials for operations.
