Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan CDL with Group B and Passenger endorsement.
• Clean driving record and background check.
• Ability to complete all State of Michigan driving and safety examinations.
• Must meet OSHA and DOT compliance standards.
• Previous experience operating commercial buses or passenger vehicles.
• Minimum age of 21 years old.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, on-call shifts, and irregular schedules.

Responsibilities

• Operate university-contracted buses and vans safely and professionally.
• Transport passengers reliably to scheduled destinations in a punctual manner.
• Perform vehicle inspections before and after trips as required.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and university transportation policies.
• Maintain precise trip logs and mileage reports.
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of assigned vehicles.
