Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a Catering Manager to join our team at West Virginia Wesleyan College. You’ll coordinate catering events, collaborate with clients, culinary teams, and vendors to deliver outstanding service and seamless execution.

The role emphasizes organization, customer focus, and multitasking in a dynamic environment; experience in catering or events preferred, with basic MS Office skills and a Safe Food Handler’s Certification as a nice-to-have.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in catering, food and beverage, events or related field.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordination of catering events from start to finish, including logistics, setup, and teardown.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, customizing orders, and ensuring event details align with client expectations.
• Coordinate delivery and pickup schedules for catering orders, event rentals, and any additional materials required.
• Work with culinary and operations teams to ensure orders are prepared accurately and delivered on time.
• Maintain a master calendar of events and deadlines, attending pre-event meetings and communicating event details to all relevant parties.
• Liaise with external vendors to arrange equipment, rentals, and other necessary services to support successful event execution.
• Provide on-site assistance during events, ensuring seamless execution and promptly addressing any last-minute issues.
• Manage catering supplies, equipment, and materials to ensure sufficient inventory levels for upcoming events.
• Ensure all food and services meet company standards for quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction.
