Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a Catering Manager at West Virginia Wesleyan College to lead planning, coordination and execution of events, coordinating with clients, culinary teams and vendors to deliver outstanding service.

The ideal candidate will bring 1–2 years catering or events experience, basic MS Office skills, and a customer-focused approach in a fast-paced environment; Safe Food Handler certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must-Haves: 1-2 years of experience in catering, food and beverage, events or related field.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and coordination of catering events from start to finish, including logistics, setup, and teardown.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, customizing orders, and ensuring event details align with client expectations.
• Coordinate delivery and pickup schedules for catering orders, event rentals, and any additional materials required.
• Work with the culinary and operations teams to ensure all orders are prepared accurately and delivered on time.
• Maintain a master calendar of events and deadlines, attending pre-event meetings and communicating event details to all relevant parties.
• Liaise with external vendors to arrange equipment, rentals, and other necessary services to support successful event execution.
• Provide on-site assistance during events, ensuring seamless execution and promptly addressing any last-minute issues.
• Manage catering supplies, equipment, and materials to ensure sufficient inventory levels for upcoming events.
• Ensure all food and services meet company standards for quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction.
