Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education, a member of Compass Group USA, operates on the Texas Women’s University campus. The Senior Catering Manager will oversee on-site catering, develop menus with the Catering Chef, and lead events from coffee services to VIP dining, including evenings and weekends as needed.

You will recruit and train staff, manage labor and food costs, and build strong client relationships to ensure exceptional service and client satisfaction at TWU.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience required.
• General Hospitality knowledge and interest in sustainability and sustainable food practices.
• At least two years similar work experience.
• Ability to interact with diverse high-volume customer base in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Ability to operate a Web-based ordering system and manage client profiles.
• Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets; ability to write professional emails.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute internal and external catering events for seamless execution and client happiness.
• Develop and maintain catering marketing plans and detailed menu development.
• Lead hiring, training, and scheduling of catering staff; develop service techniques.
• Ensure successful operations of catering functions; control labor and food costs; manage setup and teardown.
• Foster strong client relationships; align programs with client objectives; drive retention.
• Perform other duties to support dining service operations.
