Villanova University seeks a Catering Delivery Assistant to join the 423-Catering team in Villanova, PA. This role delivers catering orders to campus locations, loads and transports food and equipment, and sets up service stations for events.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years in food service, and a valid PA driver license with a clean record. The position is full-time, 12-months, with flexible hours and event-driven scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/equivalent or 2+ years of food service experience required.
• Serv Safe certification preferred.
• Valid PA Driver License with good driving record and University Vehicle privileges required per policy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver catering orders to campus locations including academic buildings, residence halls, offices, and event venues.
• Load, transport, unload, and organize food, beverages, supplies, and catering equipment.
• Set up buffet lines, beverage stations, and event displays per catering specifications.
• Verify order accuracy before delivery and upon setup.
• Maintain food quality, temperature control, and safe handling during transport and service.
• Provide courteous, professional customer service to faculty, staff, students, alumni, and guests.
• Assist with event breakdown, equipment retrieval, and cleanup after events.
• Operate department vans and delivery vehicles safely.
• Maintain cleanliness of catering storage areas, vehicles, and equipment.
