Responsibilities
- Deliver catering orders to various campus locations, including academic buildings, residence halls, administrative offices, and event venues.
- Load, transport, unload, and organize food, beverages, supplies, and catering equipment.
- Set up buffet lines, beverage stations, meeting refreshments, and event displays according to catering specifications.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of orders before delivery and upon setup.
- Maintain food quality, temperature control, and safe handling practices during transportation and service.
- Provide courteous and professional customer service to faculty, staff, students, alumni, and guests.
- Assist with event breakdown, equipment retrieval, and cleanup following catered events.
- Operate carts, vans, or other approved campus delivery vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of catering storage areas, vehicles, and equipment.
- Communicate delivery schedules, special requests, and service issues to supervisors and catering staff.
- Follow university policies, health and safety regulations, and food service standards.
- Support other Dining Services operations as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/equivalent or 2+ years of food service experience required.
Specific Job Knowledge
- Serv Safe certification preferred.
- Basic knowledge of food service overall.
- Valid PA Driver License required with a good driving record. Must be able to meet and maintain Villanova University driving privileges as outlined by the Risk Management policy for drivers of University vehicles.
