Job summary

Villanova University in Cabrini Campus, Cabrini Campus in Villanova, PA, seeks a Catering Delivery Assistant to support event catering operations, delivering orders to campus locations, loading and unloading supplies, and setting up buffet lines and stations.

The role is full-time, 12-months, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and events. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Serv Safe is preferred, and a PA driver license with a clean driving record is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver catering orders to campus locations (academic buildings, residence halls, offices, event venues).
• Load, transport, unload, and organize food, beverages, supplies, and catering equipment.
• Set up buffet lines, beverage stations, and event displays per catering specs.
• Verify accuracy and completeness of orders before delivery and upon setup.
• Maintain food quality, temperature control, and safe handling during transport and service.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service to faculty, staff, students, alumni, and guests.
• Assist with event breakdown, equipment retrieval, and cleanup after catered events.
• Operate carts, vans, or other campus delivery vehicles safely.
• Maintain cleanliness of catering storage areas, vehicles, and equipment.
• Communicate delivery schedules and service issues to supervisors and staff.
• Follow university policies, health and safety regulations, and food service standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver catering orders to various campus locations, including academic buildings, residence halls, administrative offices, and event venues.
• Load, transport, unload, and organize food, beverages, supplies, and catering equipment.
• Set up buffet lines, beverage stations, meeting refreshments, and event displays according to catering specifications.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of orders before delivery and upon setup.
• Maintain food quality, temperature control, and safe handling practices during transportation and service.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service to faculty, staff, students, alumni, and guests.
• Assist with event breakdown, equipment retrieval, and cleanup following catered events.

• Communicate delivery schedules, special requests, and service issues to supervisors and catering staff.

• Support other Dining Services operations as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma/equivalent or 2+ years of food service experience required.

Specific Job Knowledge

• Serv Safe certification preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food service overall.
• Valid PA Driver License required with a good driving record. Must be able to meet and maintain Villanova University driving privileges as outlined by the Risk Management policy for drivers of University vehicles.
