Job summary

Qualifications

• Six months’ cash handling and customer service experience.
• Associate’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience in Accounting is preferred.
• One year experience as a cashier preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and record payments for tuition, fees or other accounts.
• Maintain student accounts records, payments and notify individuals of delinquencies.
• Key data for the business office regarding accounts.
• Balance cash drawer and prepare and verify daily deposits.
• Disburse petty cash, financial aid and student payroll checks.
• Answer questions concerning delinquent accounts, tuition, and fees.
• Verify inactive account receivables, NSF checks.
• Balance and replenish petty cash.
• Collect pay phone receipts.
• Prepare and verify daily deposits for required departments.
• Maintain and keep appropriate logs and records.
