Job summary

Clovis Community College is seeking a full-time on-campus cashier in the Business Management department to process payments, balance cash, and prepare deposits. The role requires in-person presence 40 hours per week, typically 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional evenings or weekends as needed.

You will handle tuition payments, reconcile accounts, and maintain logs. Minimum six months of cash handling and customer service is required; an Associate’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience

Qualifications

Six months’ cash handling and customer service experience.
Associate’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience in Accounting preferred.
One year experience as a cashier preferred.

Responsibilities

Receive and record payments made at the cashier window for tuition, fees or other accounts.
Balance cash drawer and prepare and verify daily deposits.
Disburse petty cash, financial aid and student payroll checks.
Answer questions concerning delinquent accounts, tuition, and fees.
Maintain student accounts records, payments and notify individuals of delinquencies.
Prepare and verify daily deposits for required departments.
Maintain logs and records.
Collect pay phone receipts.
Verify inactive account receivables, NSF checks.
