Job summary

Central New Mexico Community College is seeking a Fiscal Services Technician to support financial operations including budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processing. You will ensure regulatory compliance, maintain financial records, reconcile accounts, and assist in preparing financial statements and reports.

The role involves auditing support, financial analysis, and advising other departments on financial matters.

Responsibilities

Collects and posts high-volume payment transactions for tuition, parking, and other student accounts receivable.
Receives and deposits funds from departments and clubs and generates documentation.
Assists students with payment options and promissory notes for past due balances.
Balances cashier drawer daily and maintains security of funds.
Analyses student accounts and processes refunds when appropriate.
Provides customer service on tuition, fees, financial aid disbursement, and refunds.
Supports CNM Ingenuity’s non-credit programs, including payment collection and cohort tracking.
Initiates courtesy calls to resolve past-due balances.
Prepares itemized student bills on request.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
