Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is seeking a part-time Supervisor for our BNC Starbucks Licensee Cafe on campus in Connecticut. The role focuses on coaching team members, delivering exceptional customer service, and supporting the cafe and store operations in a fast-paced academic environment.

You will assist management, ensure cafe standards, and help with food and beverage preparation, sales transactions, and safety procedures. Availability to work varied weekly schedules is required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a retail or restaurant environment.
• Prior supervisor or manager experience.
• High-energy, friendly personality with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support management and coach cafe team; model Wow customer service.
• Oversee daily work activity of cafe team in the absence of upper management.
• Assist with café operations, food and beverage preparation, and sales.
• Handle customer issues and escalate when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe food handling; comply with sanitation standards.
• Assist with processing sales transactions.
• Part-time positions require availability to work on a weekly basis year round.
