Job summary

University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is seeking a part-time DUC Building Manager (Student Hourly) to maintain security, order, and safety in the Dreyfus University Center. The roleCoordinates emergency procedures, supports events, and delivers excellent customer service.

The Building Manager opens/closes daily, manages event setup via EMS, coordinates with staff, and assists event planners. CPR/AED/First Aid certification within 8 weeks is required.

Qualifications

• Must complete Adult CPR, AED, and First Aid within 8 weeks of starting.
• Certification sessions provided by the University Centers.

Responsibilities

• Open and close duties daily in the Dreyfus University Center and maintain safety of the building and occupants.
• Use EMS to run/read reports for daily events and ensure events are set up as scheduled.
• Maintain contact with full-time and student staff across departments and assist as needed.
• Meet with event planners and be the main contact for customers and event needs.
• Accommodate last-minute requests while following policies.
• Enforce building policies, manage conflicts and supervise usage.
• Assist users with lighting and audio-visual systems not needing staff support.
• Attend weekly meetings, trainings, and orientations and complete assigned projects.
• Provide light custodial services and building setup as needed.
• Document events hourly to create a comprehensive daily report.
