Job summary

Wright State University seeks an Audiovisual (AV) Events Technician to support academic and non-academic events on and off campus, ensuring high-quality operation of AV systems. The role applies broad knowledge to diagnose and resolve moderately complex issues, document resolutions, and improve service reliability and first-time fixes.

Key duties include on-site event management, load-in/out, operation of digital consoles, and collaboration with staff and clients.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with five years of related work experience, or two years post-secondary education with three years related work experience.
Basic knowledge of audiovisual equipment, computer hardware, and presentation technologies.
Demonstrated customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays based on event schedules.

Responsibilities

Provide onsite AV support for campus events, including lectures, performances, conferences, board meetings, and special programs.
Plan and execute load-in, deployment, operation, and coordination of event logistics.
Independently resolve routine and moderately complex AV issues using established tools and procedures.
Operate digital audio consoles to mix, EQ, gate, and compress live sources.
