Job summary

Elgin Community College is seeking an advanced technical support specialist to manage college computer hardware, software, and AV systems. You will troubleshoot issues, support events, and coordinate with the AV Systems Architect to maintain campus equipment and networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years in AV/IT troubleshooting and event tech.
• Strong certifications preferred but not required.
• Experience with SCCM, Jamf Pro and Google Admin Console.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and deploying computer hardware/software in a networked environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level AV/IT support for campus events and daily operations.
• Coordinate with AV Systems Architect and Facilities Rentals for events.
• Deploy and image computers, software, and devices campus-wide.
• Assist end-users during presentations and training; document steps and solutions.
