Job summary

University of North Texas at Dallas is seeking a Manager, Digital Spaces to lead AV operations on the Dallas campus. The role oversees installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of AV hardware and software, and collaborates with senior management to address diverse AV requests and campus event needs.

The Manager will schedule campus event support, guide technicians and student staff, and ensure up-to-date knowledge of AV technologies for budgeting and planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Knowledge of audio, video, and interactive media production principles and techniques.
• Experience with macOS and audio/video production software.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment or software.
• Experience with vendor management, ordering, receiving, and coordinating installs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee classroom and conference room technology assets, including budgeting, purchasing, repairs, upgrades, and disposal.
• Coordinate setup and support for AV events and activities.
• Evaluate AV equipment brands and technologies for budgeting decisions.
• Manage ServiceNow tickets and AV project workflows.
• Lead, train, schedule, and evaluate AV technicians and student staff.
• Design AV systems, oversee QA, and plan short- and long-term AV infrastructure needs.
• Stay updated on AV technology advances and participate in relevant meetings.
