Job summary

East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania is seeking an Audio-Video Technician to configure, maintain, and install instructional technology in classrooms and labs. You will troubleshoot issues with cloud-based videoconferencing and work with the Administrative Computing team to support campus instructors and students.

The role requires hands-on IT skills, strong communication, and the ability to train users on system functionality; you may lift up to 40 lbs and travel across campus as needed

Qualifications

  • One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Information Technology Technician.
  • One year experience providing information-technology support services including hardware and software installation, operation, and maintenance with a network environment.
  • Three years of experience providing information technology support services including hardware and software installation, operation and maintenance with a network environment.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred for this position in a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible planning, designing and configuring instructional technology systems in smart classrooms, lecture halls, and lab spaces according to system parameters.
  • Communicates various ways to develop programs that enable students to use technology as a learning tool.
  • Implements scheduled maintenance system of all campus instructional technology and maintains inventory and replacement parts.
  • Develop and implement a plan for troubleshooting instructional/presentation and video/television equipment and systems; interact with PASSHE universities regarding cloud-based videoconferencing.
  • Assigns work to student workers and acts as shift lead when needed.
