Job summary

NewRocket is seeking an AI Engineer at campus/graduate level to design, develop, test, and deploy AI-enabled solutions for enterprise clients. You will prototype Claude-powered applications, implement RAG workflows, and collaborate with product, data science, and client-facing teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in CS/Engineering/Data Science/AI/ML.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience via internships, co-ops, research, or projects.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or similar languages.
• Foundational software engineering concepts, APIs, databases, source control, and cloud-based apps.
• Exposure to generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, ML, data science, or automation.
• Familiarity with LLM concepts like context windows, token usage, embeddings, RAG, tool use, structured outputs, and evaluation.
• Familiarity with tools/frameworks such as Git, REST APIs, SQL, Docker, LLM APIs, LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or cloud AI services.
• Foundational understanding of responsible AI concepts, data privacy, human oversight, and safe AI deployment.
• Strong problem-solving, curiosity, and ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building, testing, maintaining, and documenting AI-enabled applications and workflows.
• Develop prototypes and proofs-of-concept using generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and APIs.
• Support development of agentic AI solutions that use enterprise context and tools.
• Assist with prompt/context engineering, design, examples, and structured outputs.
• Help build AI applications with tool use, human-in-the-loop review, and workflow orchestration.
• Integrate AI capabilities with enterprise platforms like ServiceNow.
• Write clean, secure, well-documented code following engineering best practices.
