Job summary

The North Carolina State Board of Elections seeks an Applications Systems Analyst I (NS) to serve as the primary functional and technical support resource for the Campaign Finance Reporting System. You will analyze issues, configure settings, document requirements, and coordinate with vendors to deliver ongoing support across counties and agency staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an IT-related field from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and experience.
One year of experience in business application consulting or development with an associate degree; four years with a GED/diploma.
Experience with configuring and maintaining COTS or SaaS enterprise applications and understanding state-specific configurations.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced application support to counties and agency staff; serve as escalation resource for county system administrators.
Configure and validate authorized application settings; assess impacts on counties and data integrity.
Gather and document business requirements; create user stories and acceptance criteria for vendor review.
Conduct functional, regression, and user-acceptance testing; document results and coordinate with vendors for releases.
Maintain technical documentation, training materials, and knowledge-transfer activities.
