Job summary

N.C. Department of Information Technology (NCDIT) in Raleigh, North Carolina is seeking an Applications Systems Analyst II to support SAP ERP solutions and related modules.

You will perform advanced analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment for SAP processes across multiple modules. The role requires producing detailed specifications, technical documents, and test scripts, while managing change requests in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or IT-related field with two years of experience in business application consulting or development.
• Associate degree in computer science or IT-related field with three years of experience in application consulting or development.
• GED with six years of experience in business application consulting or development.

Description of Work

Salary Range: $81,504 - $122,256

This position is designated Statutory Exempt (EHRA) and is exempt from the State Human Resources Act.

This position may be eligible for hybrid remote work in accordance with state policy and the agency’s remote work program but does require weekly onsite work. Any telework will be under the conditions of the state Teleworking Program Policy and the employer may end any teleworking arrangement at any time in the employer's sole discretion.

Duties

• Independently perform a full range of advanced analytical and technical activities, utilizing the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
• Perform complex analysis, design, programming, testing and support on requested modifications and enhancements to all the SAP related modules and their processes
• Write highly complex requirement documents, detail design documents, technical specifications, and test scripts
• Manage the completion of change requests from initiation through completion and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Management Preferences

• Demonstrated experience performing application development in a large-scale SAP software environment including reviewing and analyzing user requests, requirements gathering, estimating, applications analysis and design, debugging, testing, implementation, documentation, and support for appropriate programs and systems
• Experience in independently managing priorities, project timelines, resources, staff, and implementation efforts
• Demonstrated skills in oral and written communications with users, peers, management, and professional staff

Minimum Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or an IT related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in business application consulting or development OR Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in application consulting or development OR High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and six years of experience in business application consulting or development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
