Job summary

North Carolina State Board of Elections is seeking an experienced professional to serve as the principal functional and technical resource for the modernized Campaign Finance Reporting System.

You will develop expertise in the COTS product, configure NC-specific settings, and provide advanced support to county administrators and agency staff while assisting with changes, testing, releases, and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of configurable COTS or SaaS enterprise apps, admin functions, workflows, and data validation.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex application problems, reproduce defects, identify root causes and workarounds.
• Experience documenting requirements, creating user stories, and communicating priorities to staff, IT, and vendors.
• Ability to design and execute test cases, evaluate releases, and maintain documentation.
• Explain technical issues clearly to county admins and staff, and coordinate with IT and external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced application support and county assistance; act as escalation resource for county admins and staff; investigate errors, access and permission issues, filing workflow problems, and unexpected behavior.
• Support configuration and administration; maintain knowledge of standard COTS functionality and NC-specific rules, workflows, validation controls, and reporting settings; document changes and coordinate access controls with IT and vendor.
