Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager for a live-in seasonal contract at on-site summer camp facilities across the country. You will oversee all daily culinary operations, manage staff, budgeting, and allergen safety to ensure high-quality meals for campers.

This fast-paced, high-volume role requires 6 days per week and at least 70 hours, with ServSafe Manager certification and a strong leadership mindset to thrive in a rustic camp setting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional cooking experience.
• ServSafe Manager Certified; Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership, budgeting capability, and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking execution, and timely meal service.
• Strictly manage food allergy protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.) and maintain top Health Department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory, place food orders, control budgets, track daily reporting.
• Serve as the main liaison between kitchen operations, campers, camp leadership and Wolfoods corporate office.
