Job summary

Galileo Learning, LLC is seeking an experienced Camp Director to lead our summer camps for K–8th grade, serving as site General Manager and the public face of the organization. You will open and operate a Camp Galileo location in your community, leading a dynamic team to create joyful, safe environments and ensure smooth daily operations.

You will uphold program quality, foster creativity, and deliver excellence in camper care, curriculum, and team leadership, while serving as the primary

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working with students in educational settings.
• Minimum 1 year of experience managing or supervising adult staff.
• Proven ability to create safe, inclusive environments for children and build family trust.
• Experience setting clear expectations and coaching staff for improvement.
• Strong scheduling, payroll, and operations management skills.
• Calm under pressure with experience handling safety issues and difficult conversations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with families and partners.
• Hands-on, project-based learning experience is a plus.
• Availability for part-time remote work Feb 2026 and full-time on-site from June 2026 (location varies).
• Willingness to travel regionally for up to 3 in-person marketing events.
• Ability to complete required trainings before camp starts.
• Ability to meet state requirements to work with children, including screenings and First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
