Job summary

Galileo Learning, LLC is seeking an experienced Camp Director to lead our summer camps for K-8th grade, serving as both site General Manager and the public face of the organization.

You will open and operate a Camp Galileo location, lead a seasonal team of educators and entry-level staff, and ensure joyful, safe environments with top-tier camper experiences and exceptional customer care.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working directly with students in an education setting.
• Minimum 1 year of experience managing or supervising adult staff.
• Proven experience creating safe, inclusive environments for children and building trust with families.
• Proven ability to set clear expectations, give ongoing feedback, and coach staff to improve.

Responsibilities

• Own every aspect of your camp’s launch, from preseason planning through end-of-summer wrap-up.
• Oversee daily camp operations to parent communication while delivering an exceptional program.
• Train and mentor staff, manage scheduling and payroll, and uphold program standards.
• Lead with the Galileo Innovation Approach to encourage curiosity and problem-solving.
