Job summary

Kelly Professional & Industrial is seeking a Call Center Associate to support Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. You will provide prompt, accurate responses to customer inquiries and document interactions to ensure quality service.

This contract-to-hire role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and customer service experience, with strong communication and computer skills. The position offers on-site work and pay up to $18 per hour.

Qualifications

• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent, with at least 1 year of claims processing or customer service experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree in lieu of work experience.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong human relations and organizational skills, and the ability to handle high-stress situations.
• Are proficient in basic computer operating skills and have knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Providing prompt, accurate, thorough, and courteous responses to all customer inquiries, including non-routine situations that may require deviation from standard procedures.
• Documenting inquiries accurately and ensuring effective customer relations by responding timely and courteously to various forms of inquiries (telephone, written, web, or walk-in).
• Coordinating with other departments to resolve customer problems and assisting with priority inquiries and special projects as required by management.

Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation

Max pay rate of $18.00 per hour.
