Job summary

FreeStar Financial Credit Union is seeking an enthusiastic Call Center Representative to assist our members with their banking needs via phone and video conferencing. You will deliver courteous, timely service and resolve account inquiries to ensure member satisfaction.

This full-time position is located in Clinton Twp with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional Saturdays. Benefits include PTO, 401(k) matching, tuition reimbursement, and year-end bonuses to support your professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Assist credit union members in the call center regarding their banking needs.
• Provide courteous, professional and timely experiences through video conferencing software.
• Answer member requests related to account function and servicing, including balance inquiries, activity, stop payments, and resolving debit card issues.
• Provide accurate service in transactions including transfers, cashier’s checks, and loan payments.
• Provide accurate service using ITM for check cashing, deposits, withdrawals or transfers.
• Meet member needs by cross‑selling products and services and achieve minimum sales standards.

Position Purpose

The primary purpose of the Member Access Specialist is to assist FreeStar Financial Credit Union in fulfilling our mission through the call center to provide superior service and innovative financial solutions to our membership by meeting their dynamic needs via telephone communications.

What You'll Do In This Role

• Assist credit union members in the call center regarding their banking needs.
• Provide members a courteous, professional and timely experience through video conferencing software.
• Answer member requests relating to the function and servicing of their accounts, including balance queries, activity, stop payments, and resolving debit card issues.
• Provide efficient and accurate customer service in transactions, including transfers, issuing cashier’s checks, and loan payments.
• Provide accurate service in transactions using the ITM, including check cashing, deposits, withdrawals or transfers.
• Meet member needs by cross‑selling all products and services offered by the credit union and achieve the minimum sales standards as established by management.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the credit union's e‑services and remote services.

• Minimum of one–three years of similar or related experience in the financial industry, or call center customer service.
