Job summary

FreeStar Financial Credit Union in Clinton Township is seeking an enthusiastic Teller to provide excellent customer service, accurately process transactions, and help members with their financial needs.

The role requires at least one year of cash handling experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to balance a cash drawer daily while cross-selling banking products. Salary is $17/hour and full-time hours are Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Assist members with transactions including check cashing, deposits, withdrawals or transfers, in person and over the phone.
• Balance cash drawer daily and ensure accurate handling of negotiable instruments.
• Cross-sell products and services to meet member needs and sales standards.
• Process night deposit and ATM transactions.

Position Purpose

The primary purpose of a Teller is assist FreeStar Financial Credit Union in fulfilling our mission by identifying member needs, efficiently processing transactions and maintaining a consistent balancing record, in addition to suggesting products and services with would benefit our members.

What You'll Do In This Role As A Teller

• A Teller observes all of the core values that have been established and abide by the standards of the position, which have been developed to support our values and provide superior customer service to our members.
• A Teller provides efficient and accurate customer service in transactions which include, but not limited to, check cashing, deposits, withdrawals or transfers, in person and over the phone.
• A Teller provides members with account status as requested.
• A Teller balances on a daily basis the assigned cash drawer including all negotiable instruments.
• Tellers meet member needs by cross-selling all products and services offered by the credit union. Must achieve the minimum sales standards as established by leadership.
• Process night deposit and ATM transactions
