Position Overview

We are seeking a Collections Agent responsible for contacting customers with outstanding debts to collect payments and negotiate repayment plans. This role involves effective communication and negotiation skills to resolve balances while maintaining positive customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Place outbound calls to discuss outstanding balances, payment options, and negotiate repayment plans.
  2. Use scripted dialogues and negotiation techniques to encourage timely payments.
  3. Engage professionally and empathetically, addressing customer concerns and objections.
  4. Provide accurate account information, payment terms, and consequences of non-payment.
  5. Process payments over the phone, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  6. Document interactions and payment arrangements in the system.
  7. Adhere to legal and company policies, including FDCPA regulations.
  8. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and account statuses.
  9. Generate reports on collection performance and outcomes.
  10. Provide excellent customer service, resolving issues and escalating when necessary.
  11. Build rapport to facilitate positive interactions and cooperation.

Candidate Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred.
  • Experience in collections, customer service, or call centers is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Familiarity with collection software, CRM, and call center technology is a plus.
  • Knowledge of debt collection laws and compliance is preferred.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in data entry.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Conditions of Employment

  • Must be authorized to work in the country.
