Job summary

Bosch USA is offering an eight-month internship in the Calibration Engineering group at the Power Solutions headquarters in Farmington Hills, MI. You will work on automated test scripts, data analytics, ML models, and software-in-the-loop simulations to optimize engine and vehicle performance.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an Engineering or CS program, with 1+ year of programming experience in Python or C++, and a readiness to work 35–40 hours per week in a collaborative, learning-focused

• Enrolled in accredited university pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or Computer Science.
• 1+ year of academic or industry experience with software languages and OSes.
• Strong Python or C++ skills, GPA 3.0+.

• Data mining and pattern recognition.

Job Description

The internship will be from either January - August 2027, or May - December 2027.

This internship takes place in Farmington Hills, Michigan, the headquarters of Bosch North America, in the Calibration Engineering group of Power Solutions.

The successful candidate will be given an 8-month project, based on their skills and career focus.

• Creation and programming of automated test scripts
• Data exploration, analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling
• Data mining and pattern recognition
• Software In-the-Loop simulation development and testing
• Support learning and collaboration events (Hack-a-thon, Coding/AI training, etc.)
• Support and learning about Calibration Engineer's daily activities (flashing vehicles, analyzing data, validating software and data, etc.)

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university and pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, and/or Computer Science with at least one semester completed
• 1+ year academic or industry experience with software languages and operating systems.
• Very good Python or C++ skills
• A minimum 3.0 GPA
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
• Must work 35-40 hours per week
• Valid US driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Automotive-related hobby and/or experience working with engines or vehicles.
• Experience with other programming languages
• Projects in automotive field
