Job summary

Bosch North America in Farmington Hills, MI is offering an 8-month Calibration Engineering internship within Power Solutions. You will support powertrain calibration projects, perform dyno data analysis, and help develop automated test scripts.

The role requires enrollment in Engineering, hands-on vehicle experience, Python or C++, and a 3.0 GPA. The internship is full-time (35–40 hours/week) with exposure to On-Board Diagnostics testing and real-world driving/test trips.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
• Has coursework or background in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Has worked on/with vehicles or engines.
• Proficient in Python or C++.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must work 35-40 hours per week.
• Must have a valid US driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Support Powertrain Calibration Projects.
• Assist in in-vehicle and engine/chassis dyno testing; data analysis.
• Adapt and program automated test scripts.
• Support Calibration Engineer's daily activities (flashing vehicles, analyzing data, validating software and data).
• Test and validate On-Board Diagnostics.
• Support Test Trips in hot/cold/high altitude environments.

Your tasks

The internship will be from either January - August 2027, or May - December 2027.

This internship takes place in Farmington Hills, Michigan, the headquarters of Bosch North America, in the Calibration Engineering group of Power Solutions.

The successful candidate will be given an 8-month project, based on their skills and career focus.

These include supporting:

• Powertrain Calibration Projects
• In-vehicle and engine/chassis dyno testing; data analysis
• Adaptation and programming of automated test scripts
• Supporting Calibration Engineer's daily activities (flashing vehicles, analyzing data, validating software and data, etc.)
• Testing and validation of On-Board Diagnostics
• Support Test Trips in hot/cold/high altitude environments

Your profile

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university and pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, with at least one semester completed
• Good electrical or mechanical engineering knowledge/background
• Has worked on/with vehicles/engines
• Python or C++ skills
• A minimum 3.0 GPA
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
• Must work 35-40 hours per week
• Valid US driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Automotive-related hobby and/or experience working with engines or vehicles.
• 1+ year academic or industry experience with software languages and operating systems.
• Simulink or Matlab experience
• INCA, ECU Test
