Job summary

Bosch invites students to join the Calibration Engineering group of Power Solutions at the Farmington Hills, Michigan headquarters for an eight-month internship. The role focuses on calibration and optimization of engine and vehicle performance, with scripting, data analysis, and ML-based projects.

The successful candidate will work 35–40 hours per week, January–August 2027 or May–December 2027, contributing to tool development, data mining, and software-in-the-loop testing while participating

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering and/or Computer Science with at least one semester completed
  • 1+ year academic or industry experience with software languages and operating systems
  • Very good Python or C++ skills
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Must be 18+ years of age and able to work 35–40 hours per week
  • Valid US driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Creation and programming of automated test scripts
  • Data exploration, analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling
  • Data mining and pattern recognition
  • Software In-the-Loop simulation development and testing
  • Support learning and collaboration events (Hack-a-thon, Coding/AI training, etc.)
  • Support daily Calibration Engineer activities (flashing vehicles, analyzing data, validating software and data)

Job Description

The internship will be from either January - August 2027, or May - December 2027.

This internship takes place in Farmington Hills, Michigan, the headquarters of Bosch North America, in the Calibration Engineering group of Power Solutions.

The successful candidate will be given an 8-month project, based on their skills and career focus.

These include supporting:

Calibration Tool/Efficiency Development Projects

  • Creation and programming of automated test scripts

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university and pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, and/or Computer Science with at least one semester completed
  • 1+ year academic or industry experience with software languages and operating systems.
  • Very good Python or C++ skills
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Must work 35-40 hours per week
  • Valid US driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Automotive-related hobby and/or experience working with engines or vehicles.
  • Experience with other programming languages
  • Projects in automotive field
